Curzon Capital has a long and varied history in corporate finance and fund management activities in alternative investments since it was regulated in 2000 by the Financial Services Authority (now the Financial Conduct Authority). Its activities have principally been in the developing regions of Latin America, Eastern Europe and the Former Soviet Union and Africa. It specialised in alternative assets including real estate, timber, commodities including oil & gas and their derivatives, contracts for differences, traded options, currency futures, fixed interest securities, capital guarantees and hedging strategies. Since deregulating from the FCA in 2018, Curzon has recently widened its interests and is currently assessing activities in non-securities businesses.
